My Story
I was born and grew up in Darlington, County Durham, where I still live with my husband, Derek, and rescue dog, Liffey.
As a mother of four adult children and with nine grandchildren, life is always busy.
My career began in childcare as the owner/manager of a Day Nursery until a change in direction at the age of fifty led me to training in therapeutic counselling. This led to five years working in the voluntary sector for Victim Support, offering emotional support to victims of crimes ranging from burglary to homicide, and gaining a wealth of experience in the criminal justice system.
I now write full time, generally from an emotional point of view, and attempting to put myself into the position of each character I create.
You can find out more about me through my interview on the Hobcast Book Show.
